What is mesotherapy for hair?

Mesotherapy is a very efficient and painless treatment for slowing the loss of hair. Medical trials have shown that mesotherapy for hair can regrow hair with chances as high as 60%. This is more than 3 times the amount when using FDA approved topicals such as finasteride or minoxidil.

Hair mesotherapy directly targets the root causes of hair loss, by stimulating blood circulation, delivering specialised nutrients, and balancing hormone levels around hair follicles.

Our hair mesotherapy London treatments are a non-invasive technique that can help regain hair and confidence to all genders or age groups.

This treatment can be combined with the following procedures:

– Exosomes Treatment

– Glutathione Injections

– Healite II LED Light

You can discuss these combination of treatments and create a bespoke treatment plan during your consultation.

Before

As the hair mesotherapy treatment is non-invasive, you will not need much preparation beforehand. We recommend keeping hair and scalp clean and coming in without any hair products applied on the day before treatment.

Drugs that may thin blood such as Aspirin should be avoided, as this may lead to complications during the treatment process.

You can discuss your medical and skincare history during a thorough consultation session with our Doctors. You can also highlight your goals, and we will create a personalized plan for you.

After

After your mesotherapy hair treatment you can expect some mild swelling, tenderness in the area and some bruising. There may also be some spot bleeding from the needle penetration.

It is important to avoid strenuous activities including exercising, swimming and refraining from using hot tubs, steam/sauna room, tanning beds or hair products for at least 48 hours. Don’t rub, touch, or wash the treated area for at least four hours after treatment.

Please, notify us if you experience any unusual discomfort after your treatment; we are always available to provide timely support whenever you need us.

What does mesotherapy do to hair?

Hair mesotherapy increase blood circulation to the scalp, reduces inflammation, and provides hair follicles with proteins, vitamins, and minerals that enhance hair growth.

Is mesotherapy effective for hair growth?

Yes! Research has shown a 90% to 92% success rate for hair regeneration with mesotherapy. When micro-perforations are created on the bald patches of your scalp, they stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping to formulate new healthy hair cells.

Is mesotherapy better than minoxidil?

Yes! Because mesotherapy for hair creates micro-injuries in the skin, this allows for hair follicles to heal themselves and produce stronger hair cells. Minoxidil is a topical treatment so it doesn’t penetrate as mesotherapy for hair, however, both treatments may be combined for optimal results.

How long does hair mesotherapy last?

For the best results, we recommend a course of 6-10 treatments. Once you complete the recommended course, the results can last from 12-18 months. After which top up treatments may be done to maintain long term results.

FAQs

Mesotherapy for hair is safe when handled by a licensed professional who is knowledgeable in the treatment and carries out the right practices to ensure the treatment is administered safely.

We recommend starting with a course of treatments every 2 weeks for the first 2-3 months. The frequency may then be decreased gradually as the results of hair rejuvenation become evident.

Mesotherapy involves injecting vitamins and minerals into the scalp, whereas PRP involves injected platelet-rich plasma directly from the patients own blood supply.

Yes! Because hair mesotherapy creates micro injuries that stimulate the hair follicles, this results in new and healthier hair growth. Whereas minoxidil is a topical treatment, results aren’t as optimal and take longer to achieve.

Mesotherapy for hair does not block DHT, rather it stimulates hair follicles to produce healthier hair growth. However, mesotherapy can be combined with topicals that block DHT, such as minoxidil to achieve better results.
